Carrying a backpack for 6 months, we have spent quality time in 5 amazing countries. We have been in crazy directions, spending anything from 6 hours to 40 hours to get to the next destination!
There is so much to see in this world that no amount of time is enough. But we are trying to make do with what we have. So, get ready to go through our photo journey.

First thing we did in India was visit Taj Mahal. It stands elegantly under the smoky sky representing love
Flying south to Kerela, we enjoyed the food. Especially the meals served on banana leaves!
Oh, that peaceful time on the houseboat in the backwaters of Kerala. 24 hours was too short
We got to a small village Hampi, Karnataka. The hills, massive boulders, coconut trees, small farms and the ruins of the 16th century kingdom just WOWed us
We moved west and ended up doing long scooty rides in Goa discovering small towns
Flying to Varanasi, we were in the heart of Spiritual India. Attending the evening aarti by Ganga, we crawled right back to our incredible culture
It was soon time to discover the undiscovered North East India. Getting to Meghalaya, we came across the bluest lake we had seen, Umiam Lake
Driving along hills near Cherrapunji we got to the tallest waterfall in India, Nohkalikai Falls. The turquoise blue water pool at the bottom was inviting
At 4AM we were on the Tiger Hill in Darjeeling, ready for sunrise. After 1.5 hours wait, the sun rays reflected upon Kanchenjunga, making the snow covered peak appear gold!
We headed to Tsomgo Lake in Sikkim, a beautiful water body sitting at over 12,000 feet, right in the middle of mountains
On a hill in Darjeeling, is a very unique Hindu & Buddhist temple, Mahakal Temple
We attended the biggest festival in Kolkata, Durga Pooja. The energy in the city during these 6 auspicious days is just insane!
Hawa Mahal, Jaipur, is such an spectacular building right in the middle of a busy street
The view from Jaigarh Fort of Amer Fort, hills around, man made lake, small villages and fort walls running all across is just picturesque
Old town of Jodhpur could be called 50 shades of blue!
We went back to 100 years ago by spending a day with camel herders and the night in a mud hut without electricity and running water
Udaipur, Land of Lakes, has preserved it’s Lake Palace really well. No visit to this picturesque city is complete without a boat ride in Lake Pichola
Chittorgarh Fort was home to the Mewar Kingdom for over 9 centuries but now it just stands as beautiful ruins on top of a 500 feet high hill
Visiting Golden Temple in Amritsar was different. The echoing Gurbani (words of Sikh Gurus) creates a peaceful ambience within the premises
Once at the Salt Panes in Gujarat we were speechless. We couldn’t tell where the land met the sky, everything was just white
Traveling for 39 hours from West India, we got to East Coast USA, New York
A night walk on Manhattan Bridge is a must, not only for the city lights but the number of flights in air
Madison Square Gardens, WOW! Definitely worth the money
Everyone goes to Empire State Building, but we did Top of The Rock
From East Coast USA, we flew to Alaska! The magical green sky made us realise how small we are in the spectrum of universe
14 hours of scary drive on icy roads got us to the Arctic Cirle. Have you been there?
From Arctic Circle, we flew down to the equator, Colombia! And, we fell in love
The walls of Cartagena Old City still stand firm protecting the old heritage of the city
We danced and partied with the locals in a sleepy town in the middle of no where – Mompox
Medellin, previously home to Pablo Escobar, has an enthusiastic vibe. The cable car was our favourite!
The stadium in Medellin was packed and everyone was chanting to the rhythm of the band. It was like being in the middle of a party!
740 steps later, we were on top of The Rock enjoying the 360 view of the biggest man made lake in Colombia
