"after that, you finally can skip taking a trip by plane." is rather obviously sarcastic, considering that many trips (say, mainland -> HI) are impractical without planes. And being sarcastic does not imply joking. It is interesting, however, to read about your intimate knowledge of people not liking me. At least I use punctuation. :)

And now to make a joke: "This escalated quickly". Which is astonishing, considering that I educatedly criticised the aviation sector...

Sweet Lord, that's the only person here I can't understand. No punctuation, everything is f***ing, and even my spelling is in a better shape. :p Btw, *they are; or *they're. "Their" is pronoun and means "from them", something like that. Also, Hans is respectful and honest, noone here have anything against him. :)

Dude...do you now follow media? I am sarcastic. There are serious discussions of banning anything from the size of an e-reader on, including tablets, laptops and digital cameras to go on board but in checked baggage, as already done for flight from a few arabic countries to the US. I was being sarcastic, as this is an nuissance to all travelers, has immense insurance problems, and will doubtfully increase security. (If your laptop is a bomb, it will most likely also be harmfull as checked baggage...but much worse, Lithium batteries in large numbers in checked baggage are an aviation nightmare.)
