For those of you unaware, Snapchat has rolled out yet another new feature that is sure to disturb relationships and friend circles for years to come. It's called Snap Maps, and it's basically a way to track your contacts' movements and locations at all times. Yeah, people are already using it to ruin each other's lives.
This Snapchat update uses your phone's GPS to pinpoint where you are, much like any mapping app, as well as where your friends are. A 'bitmoji' represents everyone using the Snapchat map; a small avatar meant to resemble them. The bitmoji move with you, and even jump into cars of their own when you're driving. Users can, therefore, see where events are happening, where people are gathering, and where their significant others are actually hanging out. If Snapchat photos might seem too invasive for some, them what to make out of this?
Police in the UK and New Zealand have actually issued warnings to parents to disable the Snapchat chat maps function on their children's phones, fearing that it could lead to predatory activity. Luckily, anyone can disappear from Snap Maps with the touch of a button, and can even enter 'ghost mode,' in which you can see others on the map, but they can't see you.
Check out a list of funny tweets from people who are already failing at Snap Maps and life in general, and tell us in the comments what you think of the update!

So glad I switched off my location on my phone. I don't want people knowing where I am. Why should they? People want their privacy, and should be granted that!
Don't worry. If you've crafted a Bow and some Arrows, Creepers are no threat. You could also rush them with a Diamond Sword if they get too close! :D
Wow, I did not read about this before. It might be fun, it might even be convenient at times, and I guess kids love it. But from a privacy, even more from a technological security, and evr greater from a societal security point of view this is a nightmare.
Youre completely right hans. I have snapchat and I hate the new update. Its a doorway for stalker and unwelcomed peers. Thankfully, theres 'ghost mode' where you can keep your location to yourself (its still a bad update tho)
Load More Replies...Remeber when snapchat's main feature was actually protecting your privacy?
Inthink this is terrible what about children on snapchat when loads of people can see them
There is no age limit but you can put it in ghost mode
