Reasons To Head To Albania This Summer

Albania is quite a hype destination for travellers. I hardly met other wandering folks during my 2-weeks roaming the coasts and mountains of this beautiful and wild country. Even 30+ countries after, Albania managed to completely win over my heart.

Though I’d love to keep all the hidden treasures all to myself, it would be completely unfair. The world really needs to know more about this gem and the amazing people living there!

P.S. Though I’ve barely scraped the surface this time, I know I will return for more exploration later on.

But wait, there’s even more blues in Albania

Syri i Kalter (or the Blue Eye) – a natural spring is hidden in a lush valley some 20 km off from Sarande will keep you seriously impressed.

Yep, and that’s still Albania, not some tropical jungles.

The water in Syri i Kalter is so clean that you can fill up your bottle straight from the source and drink it.

You might want to get a dip, but the water is +10 C.
