Mom Makes Periodic Table Battleship To Teach Her Kids About Elements
The classic Battleship just got way geekier! Karyn Tripp, a homeschooling mom-of-four, turned it into a fun way to teach her kids chemistry.
Players have to circle rows of two, three, four, and five elements to mark their ships. Then, they play by calling out coordinates. The aim is to find the elements first.
“This game can be played even by kids who know nothing about the Periodic Table Yet,” said Tripp. “My 8-year-old daughter has not studied any chemistry yet, but really enjoyed this one.”

Share on FacebookAwesome! I may use this idea in my 8th grade science class, if that's ok.
I'm not the creator, but I am a middle schooler, so I tell you: PLEASE do! because that is how teaching works! not lecture classes!
Load More Replies...How does this work? Do they try to memorise which letter stands for which element by looking at the periodic table frequently?
in theory if you see something enough you will remember it, also saying it out loud then reading it helps to improve memory of that subject. and finally making it fun and competitive will increase chances of situational memory recall.... i honestly wish my teachers did this.
