Over 100 Women Started Breastfeeding In Public At A Romanian Museum
Over 100 Romanian women started breastfeeding their children in the Bucharest’s Village Museum, wearing traditional clothes. 68 of them managed to breastfeed simultaneously for the World Breastfeeding Week main event. The action, organized last month by a local NGO along with a Photography Studio, have shocked many commentators.
The organizers advocate that only 12.6 percent of Romanian mothers still breastfeed their babies at six months and this has to be changed. They planned a similar event for the International Babywearing Week coming up in October. Here are some photographs from the event and a video from last year event:
