131 Priceless Reactions To NASA’s Discovery Of 7 New Earth-Like Planets
Us, humans, have always been fascinated with the unknown, especially space exploration and possibilities of life beyond Earth. Not only we've dedicated hundreds of science fiction books on the topic, but we've also set out to explore the vast outer space, searching for some answers and possible public benefits. So, when the NASA news broke out about seven new Earth-like planets, the good people of Twitter were understandably shook. Their reactions were everything from hilarious to straight-up trippy.
The groundbreaking discovery - code-named Trappist-1 - includes three possibly habitable planets, which is excellent news for anyone who's had just about enough of the spinning orb we currently call home. Sure, the planets may exist about 235 trillion miles outside of our solar system, but that doesn't mean we're not down to pre-order a one-way ticket as soon as possible.
Think your reaction about life on other planets was even funnier than the ones we found? Add your space science memes to our list below!

For all I know, it's called "Trappist-1 System" because it's the first system found thanks to the telescope TRAPPIST. About the telescope: "The Transiting Planets and Planetesimals Small Telescope–South (TRAPPIST) is a Belgian optic robotic telescope, situated high in the Chilean mountains at ESO's La Silla Observatory, which came online in 2010. It is named in homage to the Trappist religious order, who are known for brewing the Trappist beer" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TRAPPIST ... and I think it's pretty cool
* president tweets to all seven planets that his inauguration had the largest crowd, ever recorded, in the last seven thousand years****
hehehe, This one actually made me chuckle. And I post a comment knowing there is a troll around downvoting anything anti ol' 54.
I guess you could say your soulmate is literally "out of this world" then...
My granny says that she lives near the beach, so she finds easy a.f. to just say: "I want to go to the beach"... We have to drive two whole hours to get there :/
I can. I just need a flight out of the country for me, my kiddo & cats!
I'm thinking more seven dwarfs type thing - the star could be Snow White!!!
Goddamnit light years aren't a measure of time people, a light year is the distance light can travel in one Earth year!! AARGH
Or Mr Trump signs a paper giving all discovery and exploration rights to Russia.
Planet G looks like a hellhole. It is well outside the habitable range, so it will be a frozen ice ball -- assuming there's any water to freeze. Actually, even if there isn't water, there will probably be other chemicals frozen, like oxygen and nitrogen.
