Using Nasa’s Topographically Accurate Moon Maps, My Friend Created This Jewelry

“What is it you want, Mary? What do you want? Do you want the moon? Just say the word, and I’ll throw a lasso around it and pull it down“- George Bailey (It’s a wonderful life, 1946).

My friend is a former goldsmith and, inspired by this quote, always dreamed of making moon-like jewelry. But she didn’t want to make an artistic interpretation of it. She wanted it to have the accurate topography of the real moon. She never was able to fulfill this dream before she switched her job to something completely different many, many years ago.

When she was pregnant with her first child, she decided to fulfill her Long-cherished dream in her maternity leave and created this Collection of wonderful jewelry, called Mondschatz. So now everyone can lasso the moon and give it to their special someone – or to themselves ;)

And even Sheldon Cooper would be pleased because it’s scientifically correct!

This is pretty, but would be awesomely cool if it were made out of the alloy from meteorites. Actual "Moons from Space".
