Guy Proposes Using Custom-Made Monopoly Board With Secret Compartment
Justin Lebon proposed to his girlfriend Michal Ott on Christmas morning 2014 in an unusual way. The couple had grown up on the same street in California when they were young, but never connected until they met on Match.com years later. Unbeknownst to Ott, Lebon had hired wood-worker Mark Becker to help him design a custom Monopoly board with personalized locations, a special “Chance” card, loaded dice, and a secret compartment with a ring.
“I handed her a pair of loaded dice” Lebon wrote on Imgur. “They would only allow her to roll a 7. The number she needed to land on Chance. That’s where I put the ‘will you marry me card.’ She reads the chance card out loud ‘…Will you marry me?’ and said ‘is this REAL!?'” The card read, “If yes advance to luxury tax.” Ott moved her piece, Lebon dropped to one knee, and produced a ring from a secret compartment in the board.

Justin and Michal loved playing Monopoly together
“I knew years ago that Michal was the one, but it was a few months ago I decided I was going to ask Michal to marry me on Christmas morning”
“Michal unwraps the present and instantly sees the board game lay out and says ‘a monopoly board!'”
“I handed her…loaded dice. They would only allow her to roll a 7”
That landed Michal on Chance “where I put the ‘will you marry me card'”
“I took the wire key and popped open a secret door underneath the luxury tax…I took the ring out and slipped in on her finger. It fit perfect too”
She said yes!
“She loved every second of the proposal, and I’m glad she did. It took a lot of planning, but I enjoyed every second of it”
