Dolphin Succulents Are The Latest Craze In Japan

Remember the bunny succulent plants? If you liked those you’re in for a real treat because someone just shared a pic of succulent plants that look like dolphins and the Japanese are going crazy about them!

Called the Senecio peregrinus, this plant has a bunch of tiny leaves that look like little dolphins jumping in the air. The best part? The longer the vines get, the more the leaves look like dolphins! So, not only does the plant make your home cozier but it’s pretty adorable as well.

Twitter user @kao77neko shared a picture of this succulent and it has over 10k retweets and 11k likes since. Thank you @kao77neko, for introducing us to this awesome dolphin plant that we never knew we loved!

What I think is I wish the Japanese would care and demand the government STOP allowing REAL dolphins who are being slaughtered annually! Watch THE COVE. Just horrible!!!

Totally agree with you - first thing I thought when I saw this plant was of the double standards creating something cute and behind the scenes unimaginable cruelty and suffering to the very creature they are making a cute representation of. They are either a very sick and cruel nation, or as a nation they generally do not know of what goes on - that is called wilful ignorance.

The sad thing with Asian countries, people eat anything edible, including animals that are listed on the extinction list. It is Japan that apes are decapitated with a sword to get to the brain. Never heard that this also took place in China. There is no control of what is killed to be eaten. In Africa, there are similar customs. Wildlife is disappearing faster than the animals can reproduce themselves. What a sad world we live in.
