What scared you the most the last time you watched a horror movie? We'd bet money on the menacing demeanor of famous villains like Freddy Kreuger, Jason Vorhees, and Michael Myers. It may surprise you to see, however, that the faces behind these ghastly ghouls are just ordinary people that bear little or no resemblance to the sheer terror their characters embody.
See each remarkable transformation below, and vote for the stares that spooked you to the bone.

Valak - Bonnie Aarons (The Conjuring 2, 2016)
Pennywise - Tim Curry (It, 1990)
I read the books when I was quite young. I was only 14 whe it came out and it was all the rage, had to read it. Since then, I have had deep seated fear towards clowns of any kind. They creep me out. And I only had my imagination back then... no internet to show you pictures like that one above. Although, surprisingly, my imagined Pennywise was very similar to the one later portrayed in the film by the magnificent Tim Curry.
Strangely enough Tim Curry was actually a sufferer.

First picture: "hold on mom yeah sure I'm getting up!!" Second picture:"I'm ready"
That doesn't even look like Daveigh on the right, either... she's grown up since "Big Love."
Pale Man - Doug Jones (Pan's Labyrinth, 2006)
I love that movie, and this creature gave me more creeps than anything i've seen in a movie before.
Doug Jones has been in many many horror movies, mostly as creatures. For example her was 90% of the ghosts in Crimson Peak, he was the bye bye man in the film of the same name, nosferatu in the remak of the movie, and a s**t ton of horror tv shows as well!
Kayako - Takako Fuji (The Grudge, 2004)
I wonder what you are asked to do at auditions for these movies, and what sets you aside? Was she like crawling all over the place and wierding people out, and then they bee like: woow! That gurl can CRAWL! You hired!
My little girl would make that sound and she had never seen the movie. Use to creep me the hell out...
I’ve seen a lot of horror movies. The grudge is the scariest one so far. Brrr, now I’m scared just reminding it..
Actually thats Aiko Horiuchi on the left. She portrayed Kayako in the Grudge 3 (where that picture is from). Fuji quit playing Kayako after the Grudge 2 in 2006 :)
Geez I'm rude, I'm just gonna go die, *falls off back of couch* ahhhhhhhaaaaaahahhaBAM!! Ghargh bleh meh
Toshio - Yuya Ozeki (Ju-On, 2002)
They didn't actually do much to make him a horror movie character. They just put some dark makeup around his eyes and got each shot at a spooky angle like the one above but still pretty cool (the transformation I mean)
Wow, you need great make-up and lighting to make such a cute boy look so creepy.
Is he in ummmmmmm uhhhh ummmm uhhhh ummmm uhh the mooovvie that I can't think of riiiiighghhhttt know...... the other... oh!! Good god I remember now whew! Isn't he in the grudge also?
Alien - Bolaji Badejo (Alien, 1979)
What is amazing is that common objects we use turn into the coolest things in Scy Fy shows or movies. The Medical analyzer that Dr. Mc Coy used was a salt shaker.
True Lyrics :) I've been watching you For some time Can't stop staring at those oceans eyes Burning cities and napalm skies Fifteen flares inside those ocean eyes Your ocean eyes No fair You really know how to make me cry When you gimme those ocean eyes I'm scared I've never fallen from quite this high Falling into those ocean eyes Your ocean eyes I've been walking through a world gone blind Can't stop thinking of your diamond mind Careful creature made friends with time He left her lonely with a diamond mind And those ocean eyes No fair You really know how to make me cry When you gimme those ocean eyes I'm scared I've never fallen from quite this high Falling into those ocean eyes Your ocean eyes
Freddy Krueger - Robert Englund (A Nightmare On Elm Street, 1984)
He did a great job eating mice, too... "Here, mousey mousey mousey"
Load More Replies...I've only seen the 4th Freddy Krueger movie and he still haunts my dreams heheh 😏 Jk
Regan Macneil - Linda Blair (The Exorcist, 1973)
Not a lot of surprise here ... seeing as she appears in the movie without makeup ...
Linda Blair...Blair witch!!!!we should've known!!regan MacNeil is the Blair which as a kid!
Linda Blair did not wear the scary make up; Eileen Dietz did. These are not the same people.
It must have been mentally traumatizing for a kid to play this character?!
Bride In Black - Tom Fitzpatrick (Insidious: Chapter 2, 2013)
I'm sorry but he lowkey looks like a drag queen in costume 😅😂
I wonder how long it takes them to do all this makeup.. Just for like a 2 hour movie
Leprechaun — Warwick Davis (Leprechaun, 1993)
I can't imagine how uncomfortable that makeup has to be though... I wouldn't want to have to wear it any longer than I had to!
Load More Replies...Pinhead - Doug Bradley (Hellraiser, 1987)
Michael Myers - Nick Castle (The Halloween, 1978)
Leatherface - Gunnar Hansen (the Texas Chain Saw Massacre, 1974)
The Creeper - Jonathan Breck (Jeepers Creepers, 2001)
Yeah, the first one was terrifying. The second one... I wish I could forget all about it, it was so dumb and uninteresting.
Load More Replies...His audition video was really creepy. He didn't have any props or makeup and started sniffing the people in the audition room and freaked everyone out. He really went for it.
Sam - Quinn Lord (Trick 'r Treat, 2007)
He's still handsome today, at 18. He plays in The Man in the High Castle, the role of Thomas Smith.
Load More Replies...Captain Spaulding - Sid Haig (The Devil's Rejects, 2005)
He was really sick filming 3 from hell. Maybe this was from that time.
Load More Replies...Scares the sheeet outta me! Clowns are creepy but this is the ultimate freaky clown!
Jason Voorhees - Kane Hodder (Friday The 13th, 1980)
Pumpkinhead - Tom Woodruff Jr. (Pumpkinhead, 1988)
Wasn't he in the Alien costume as well? (In another one of the Alien movies maybe?)
Ghostface - Dane Farwell (Scream, 1996)
I admit I still have the posters in my bedroom and the mask on the wall above my bed. Oh, and I still watch the series when I feel nostalgic (just the first 3, the 4th was c**p).
Load More Replies...What? No, it can't be him, it's supposed to be BIP and BIP (can't say, it would be spoilers, already said too much).
The Collector - Juan Fernández (The Collector, 2009)
Aaaahhhhhhh!!!! One if the villians from crocodile dundee. Holy cow!!!
Oh wow... I didn't know it was THAT guy. I used to work out with him in an old gym in Hollywood 25 years ago. Wondered what happened to him.. Now I know!
Radford - Arthur Roberts (Midnight Movie, 2008)
We horror fans need a good horror film. The last genuinely scary one for me was insidious. horror films are more than just jump scares!
Try Asian ones, if you haven't already. Now, I'm not sure about the newest east Asian horror films, but, as you may know, their tradition of ghost films that creep under your skin is pretty famous. Leaving you with a mixture of fright and sadness, because in the end... All these are sad stories that make you sympathise with the ghost.
Load More Replies...Great article. I'd add Javier Botet, the title character in "Mama." He was also in Conjuring 2 and others. Wonderful creature performer. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2306701/

Do a little more research if you're going to post an article. Ari Lehman only played Jason as a child. He most certainly did not play Jason in part seven which is the picture on the left.
The valak one still looks the same even with the makeup and why didn't they include the sinister guy? He was very scay
I would kill them all if i see for ruining my mind :D especially Tim Curry :(
