I took in (and accidentally stole) my neighbors cat. She wouldn't spay the damn cat and we had a feral cat population that got so damn big I started calling it "the horde" (we fed them so I could trap and have them neutered) . Like literally 12 of the ferals were her cats kittens. I couldn't spay her cuz, babies in her belly. So I took her in and cared for her and the babies so she didn't get preggers again. I'm not a cat person, we had 4 dogs. This damn cat popped them babies out and wanted fack all to do with them. She'd nurse them, that was it. She hates the pug. Haaaaates her. So why in the hell did she dump her two wee bitty kitties on the pug every damn chance she got. She'd drop 'em like yesterdays stank diaper right on the pug and haul a*s. We now have Cat-Pugs. They play fetch and s**t. One of em even snores and farts just like her pug mother. Species don't matter bro, love is love, and cat pug farts are vicious.

Because domestic cats are mostly solitary or only like smallish groups, whereas canines, even domesticated ones, are essentially pack animals and therefore copy behaviour from the rest of their pack.
