Man Recreates Photos Of His Late Wife With His 3-Year-Old Daughter 3 Years After The Accident
Widower Rafael Del Col wanted to do a tribute to his late wife Tatiane Valques, so he and his three-year-old daddy’s little girl Raisa recreated the family photoshoot together.
Tatiane died in a car crash in 2011 when Raisa wasn‘t even one year old little girl. Tatiane was pregnant with the second child at the time. The original family portraits were done in 2009, a week before the couple‘s wedding. In the recreation of the solo shot, Raisa wore the same jewelry that Tatiana used in the shoot. Even the dog is the same in both sets: Rafael, who’s a single dad now, had bought Raul for Tatiane when they had just started dating. The recreation was inspired by the sad story ofBen Nunery, who did a similar shoot to commemorate his wife who died of cancer.

6 years ago, Tatiane died in a tragic road accident
At the time of the accident, she was pregnant with a second child which also died with her
Her grieving husband Rafael was left with a beautiful memory of their love – a 1-year-old daughter, Raisa
3 years after the accident, the dad and daughter duo decided to pay tribute to Tatiane by recreating the pre-wedding photos
“The necklace that Raisa is wearing is the same as her mother was wearing 5 years ago”
“Same high heels”
“Our dog, Raul, is the same as well. I bought this dog for Tati in the beginning of our relationship”
Rafael had also started a blog about his experiences
“Shortly after I lost my wife, I was seeking help regarding early widowhood and also paternity without the presence of the mother and found almost nothing”
“Now, thank God, things are adjusting slowly, my daughter is healthy, and is growing, developing normally”
“But beside my responsibilities with my princess, I need to deal with feelings of grief, and the loss of my partner with whom I lived for 10 wonderful years”
“I confess that I cried a lot when I watched it and I couldn’t watch it only once. The music in the clip is a tribute to Raisa. She sings this song very often (it’s second only to “Let it go…” from Frozen on her list)”

Share on FacebookWhat a beautiful set of pictures of you with your wife, & then with your daughter. What a beautiful wife. What a beautiful daughter. What a beautiful family. My heart aches for you losing your precious wife. I can only imagine the pain that hit you at the time of her death, as well as the days, months & years that have followed. No words I say will really bring comfort to you. But I am sure that your daughter brings you comfort, especially since she looks so much like her Mom. It breaks my heart that your family was broken at such a young age. Even though 3 years have passed, I am certain that you still feel grief. I lost my husband in 1998. My grief did not pass until a few months after meeting my second husband Arthur, which was 3 years later, in 2001. I am so happy that you are not alone - that you have your daughter. I will keep you in my thoughts & in my prayers. May the Lord bless you & keep you. May the Lord make his face to shine upon you & give you peace.
Gaby Keaney, this family is from Brazil. Seems like you're just here to spew your hatred towards Americans. What a sad life you have. Who are you to speak for all Europeans and how they react to such a tragedy? Or how Americans react (even though there are no Americans in this story). You are no one. This person basically said "Typical American, we here in Europe find that very questionable. One mustn't force a child to follow footsteps, not even their own mother's."
