Beluga Whale Attends A Wedding, Inspires A Hilarious Photoshop Battle
Photoshopping wedding photos can lead to hilarious results, and this post is one of them. Someone uploaded a photo of a Beluga whale "attending" a wedding ceremony and reddit's troll army is at it again.
Apparently, newlywed couples nowadays quite frequently go to Mystic Aquarium in Connecticut to get some photos in front of these huge creatures. However this particular one caught the internet's attention because the whale looks really invested in the ceremony. From transforming the Beluga into the best man, to making the whale in charge of the ceremony - the trolls found quite a few reasons why he is attending. As the Justice of the Peace in the original photo taken by Sandi Eddy, I find most of the photoshopped versions funny and clever. Juno the Beluga whale is always interested in weddings at Mystic Aquarium in Mystic, CT because thinks the brides in white are other Belugas, and those of us in black suits are seals 9lunch!). Yes we have a long way to go before we can say we have done right by the wildlife on this planet. They should be in the ocean where they belong not in some tank.

You don't know that. Most of these wales are rescued or offspring of rescued wales whom can't survive out of captivity anymore. The Aquarium in Vancouver had two who got tremendous care, medical checks etc.

I think they were actually using the correct term for it..urban dictionary-2. A dork is a blue whale's penis. In today's slang, the word dork is used as an insult (geek, nerd) and many do not know where it comes from.

I am really disappointed that this has been posted. Keeping whales and dolphins in captivity is barbaric. In the wild they live in strong family groups but they are ripped from their pods and taken into captivity for our amusement. There is very strong evidence that they suffer greatly as a small tank, away from their family, is so far removed from their natural environment. Please don't normalize this animal cruelty.

Not impressed this is why I suspect really intelligent life avoids this planet because they probably see us still as children unable to respect the amazing life we have around us and take better care of it these creatures have one home it is the sea not a tank in which we can mock them from the other side thinking we are some how more better and superior than they are.
