I do agree with you. I have cancer (and metastasis), and I do not want relatives or friends to have their hair cut since it will never become a wig for me. Hair, in my Country, will be sold and someone will obtain money from it; I will get nothing at all.

Oh my, i'm gonna get downvoted to hell and back for this. Please accept that i'm not being bitter, twisted or judge-ey. My first thought (after falling for that smile,) was "woah, somebody really needs to keep their food down." I know, I know, she probably doesn't suffer from either of those awful disorders but whenever I see 'exposed' clavicles etc I seem to jump to conclusions. Ah cool I made the list! I love both versions of me but the long hair became tiresome to maintain. My look now far suits who I am. I like dressing in smart clothes and showering daily now haha. of course? people get confidence from their looks, certain things can make us feel confident or not. for example, features we dont like make us feel less confident, like a crooked nose in my case. when i cut my hair short i started feeling fierce and super confident and people also started percieving me so because im not as insecure as i used to be and you can see it. so yeah, i get my confidence from my hair

It is called " The Hair Massacre " and done in February at West Edmonton Mall, Alberta. The hair is dyed pink a month to weeks before the event. It was started by a family in the community who's young daughter had cancer. The hair is not donated, but people participating get pledges and all proceeds go to cancer research.

We need to become a different person, different from the one who has been saddened by a man. We need to leave this part of our story behind us and move forward. This is way easier if we change what we see in the mirror every morning. It's like a snake who leaves it's skin behind. We leave our former physical aspect and become someone new with a new horizon. We shrug it all off and start fresh. This being said, moving around all of the furniture if you can't afford to move out is efficient too ;-)

Please research before you donate your hair to a charity. There are some, including one of the most popular, that are scams. At one, 90% of the hair is thrown away, they sell the wigs (not give them ), and children with cancer do not qualify. I am sure there are some that are legitimate, but please verify first.

i dont think all charity's really make wigs for children with cancer , many sell the hair and ended being $3.000 to $20.00 wigs . and i sorry but many of this people look better with long hair, there are some people that make short hair cuts look great but short hair is not for everyone.

I wish I could donate my hair so easily. It's almost waist length, but hair that's been dyed before is rejected here apparently :(

I had a meter and 13 cm long hair - measured just because friends asked me...kept them just because of laziness...just a pony tail and wasch 1-2 times a week... But i would never ever wanted long hair again. Short hair gives you an opportunity to look different every few weeks :) I sometimes had a nightmare where somebody cut my hair off...but now gives me nightmares when i havent cut in two months :D

I don't let mine grow longer than my shoulders because I'm lazy. I think long hair needs much more maintenance, even washing is a pain! Lol
