Yes, just sitting down next to him would have probably been better, but she did this with kindness in mind and towards the end he/she is accepting of her pets, so no harm done really. Have a 12-yr old rescue from a US 'no kill' shelter. She'd been founding the street. She's friendly, runs up to people and other dogs...but whenever anyone tries to pet her she cowers and tries to 'escape'...god knows who did what to her, but after 15 months with us, she's ok to tell me what she wants and to bark when she doesn't get it--but i s still afraid when we extend a hand toward her.

totally agree! I know the woman had good intentions, but I feel like everything she did was wrong - backing the dog to the corner, holding his head when he obviously didn't want to and not letting him go. I'm not critizing her, but this wasn't really the best example of building trust. It would be much better to just let him get used to her presence and then, after a looong time, start to slowly and carefully attempting to touch him.

Harvard Study PROVED that gun control is counterproductive. This artist is mentally r******d or incredibly uneducated and unaware of REALITY. Reality IS that the Harvard Study PROVED that gun control is counterproductive. Break it down for the concept immpaired - more gun control = MORE gun suicides, gun crime, and gun murders. Not debatable. Furthermore - 92% of the crazy attacks (none ever by an NRA member) are in gun free zones - making them 11.5 times more likely to be a place where you are killed or shot in such an incident. Guns are used about 2.5 million X/yr to PREVENT crime and violence - WAY more than guns are used to cause damage and death. There are many instances in which mass shootings and violent crimes are PREVENTED by private citizens carrying guns. Off the top of my head - the Uber driver in Chicago who stopped a mass shooting. The CC permit holder in Baltimore that stopped a shooter in a barbershop with kids and customers. Lady in a church. Guy in a church. Person in a waffle house......
