Stray Puppies Won’t Stop Hugging Each Other Since They Were Rescued

Two stray puppies have recently been adopted by Buddhist nuns in a pagoda in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and the two haven’t stopped hugging each other ever since. Though the bigger pup still looks too tiny and helpless to even take care of himself, he keeps on holding his younger friend dearly in protection.

One can’t help but wonder what the two have experienced in the streets before being taken in the temple that has made them look so scared and vulnerable. Luckily, the two are in good hands now. They’re getting used to their new home and even trying to learn meditation from the nuns. Just look at that Zen pose! Everything will be alright.

I'm calling BS on this ridiculously naive story. In every photo the puppies are being made to sit or stand upright - it's completely unnatural and staged. Here's what I think happened: these two puppies were near the temple, starving and desperate. They were taken inside, given a bowl of rice and some water, made to repeatedly pose for a sequence of absurd photos showing them hugging and standing, all for the amusement of the people there, and then forgotten and possibly regarded as a nuisance. No more rice, no deworming or anything else they obviously need. And one or both puppies has/have since died through neglect. Am I right?

I also question why are the sitting up on every picture. This is unnatural. The rest is subject for speculation. But there is a strong sense of fear in the eyes of these dogs, like they are more fearful then hungry. ... by the way, stray dogs that I have seen don't look so scared, they look more apathetic. This is unnatural for these photos.

Do you know the name of the temple? I may pass by and see if the older one is indeed there or back on the streets. If the latter, then I'll adopt him

Something is definitely not right with this article. These puppies are not in natural poses. It sickens me to think what they must have done to get them to pose this way and what they're fate was.
